A gentle place to play with words — made for children who are still finding their voice, and for busy minds that need to wiggle.
▶ Play freeChatterbloom is a free collection of 44 small word, talking and picture games for young children. It runs in any web browser on a phone, tablet or computer. There is nothing to install, nothing to buy, and no account to make. A child picks an animal buddy — Ellie the elephant, Pippa the pig or Luna the unicorn — and plays alongside them.
Games include sorting pictures into baskets, tracing shapes and letters with a finger, singing familiar nursery rhymes, matching opposites, solving picture sudoku, washing a pet, and exploring a six-island world in 3D collecting words and building things.
We built Chatterbloom for our own child, because we could not find an app that chose encouragement over correction and play over pressure. Most of what is in it came from watching what actually held attention and what quietly caused frustration, then changing it.
Chatterbloom does not record your child's voice — ever. No microphone, no data collection, no accounts, no tracking and no ads. Progress is saved only in your own browser on your own device. A parent can copy a backup code from the parent area to move progress to another device.
Because it was made for one child first, and there is no reason to charge anyone else for it. There is no paid tier, no trial and no advertising. If it is useful to your family, that is the whole point.
Please note. Chatterbloom is a play-based activity app made by a family. It is not a medical device, an assessment, or a substitute for professional speech-language, educational or medical care — it is simply something warm to enjoy together. For questions about a child's speech, language or attention, a qualified professional is always the best place to start.
Whether you are a parent, a speech-language professional, an educator or a caregiver, we would love to hear what would make this more useful.
